Petal Loop Chevron Crochet Blanket Pattern
The Petal Loop Chevron Blanket brings together two things I never get tired of: a dimensional, squishy stitch and that classic zigzag rhythm that makes a blanket feel like an heirloom. The textured Petal Loop Stitch sits right on top of crisp chevron peaks, so you get depth and movement in one cozy throw.
This blanket is worked flat in rows using the four-row Petal Loop Stitch repeat, with increases at the peaks and decreases at the valleys to shape the waves. Colors change every two rows for that striped chevron finish, and a clean side edge plus a simple border pull the whole thing together. Carry your colors up the side as you go, and you will have very little weaving in at the end.
With 15 sizes, from a tiny Lovey all the way up to a King, this one grows with whatever you need: a baby gift, a lapghan for the couch, or a full-bed throw. Pick two colors for a simple stripe or three for the green-on-green version shown.
