Wheatfield Crochet Headband
The Wheatfield Crochet Headband is a slim, textured tie-back headband worked in just four rows using a beautiful modified puff stitch. It’s adjustable for any head size, uses only 25 yards per headband, and works up so fast you’ll want to make one in every color.
The band is worked flat using the Wheat Stitch, a simple puff-stitch repeat that creates a gorgeous raised texture without complicated shaping. Once the four rows are done, i-cord ties are attached to each short end at whatever length feels right, so the fit is completely customizable—no seaming, no sizing stress. The finished look is clean and polished enough to sell at a craft fair or wrap up as a gift.
At just 25 yards per headband, this is the perfect stash-buster. Make a stack in a weekend and hand them out as gifts, stock your market table, or keep them all for yourself. No judgment here.

GAUGE:
Gauge is not critical for this pattern. Adjust your starting chain to fit your head (chain to 2–4” shorter than full head circumference, then add ties to close the gap).
