Each pumpkin is worked flat, then seamed into a tube, and that is what sets the texture running vertically. Every row begins and ends with a slip-stitch section, and those sections form a firm border along both ends. That border is your cinching line, so closing the top and bottom is quick and tidy.

You pick how to seam. Option 1 works the final row into Row 1 as you go, so each stitch finishes and seams in the same motion, and there is no separate seaming step. Option 2 slips stitches the starting chain edge to the final row once the body is done.

Want the striped one? Work Rows 1 and 2 in one color and Rows 3 and 4 in another, carrying the unused color up the inside of the pumpkin. Nothing gets fastened off, so you are not left with a pile of ends to weave in.

The three sizes stack into one arrangement or stand on their own around the house. Attach them permanently for a set that stays put, or leave them loose so you can rearrange them whenever you feel like it. Finish with a cinnamon stick stem and a ribbon bow.
